1989 jeep comanche 4.0 ax-15 5 speed 231j t-case blown clutch very little rot just floor boards 70,000 mi original paid $900 i get it home everythings fine all the sudden i can hear pinging from the engine not too loud but enough to concern me i rev the engine from the throttle body a little and it sounds kind of whinney and for how much throttle i gave it maybe 2000 rpm , it sounded like i gave it more no clue and thoughts or suggestion on that would be great. next i notice white smoke from the tail pipe and its been running for a half hour if not more check the temp its at 208 go to the antifreeze overflow undo the cap and it starts pooring out not really pressure wise shooting straight up but enough to call it a poor and it smells like a barbeque or like a critter was in the engine and just roasting so i know this is common for a head gasket but i was wondering if there is a pcv valve and if so would this have anything to do with it. so suggestions on that would be great and much appreciated I'm leaving for the army april 11 id really like to figure this out tight on cash can't bring it to a mechanic if i can't fix before i leave I'm probably going to just get rid of it. real sad to say

Peugeot BA-10 clutch fix
bthomps875 replied to bthomps875's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
actually i apologize the tranny was so full of crap i couldnt tell what it was i cleaned it all up and it turns out it is an ax 15 so that is awesome also checked the master cylinder for leaks along witht the fuse box and nothing it is also full so now I'm wondering if the peddle coming all the way up is due to the fly wheel clutch disc or pressure plate i would pull it apart myself but i no nothing about this or how to tell if it was bad i've always been an xj guy and automatic at that -

yea the ax15 is way better i know but funds are tight and i just picked this up just trying to get everything to be good before anything else but i wish i could just do the swap that would be sick -
i picked up a 1989 jeep comanche the clutch was bad and the brakes it was pretty cheap but in awesome shape but the clutch pedal has to be replaced at the very top and I'm not too familiar with fixing a clutch if anyway has a write up on how to fix Peugeot BA-10 clutch id really appreciate the help...i also noticed the jeep when you start it up revs up high didnt know if that had something to do with it also thanks
