  1. What about for an automatic lol? That’s my bad I made a mistake wasn’t thinking straight. My stock ratio is a 3.54.
  2. I don’t know what transmission I have it’s whatever came with it. Should I upgrade? And I know that it’ll lower my mpg I’m just trying to imprint as much as I can with the lift and tires.
  3. Hello! I’m new to the forum and new to working on cars in general and I have a couple of questions about the gear ratio. I’ve read a couple forums saying that you should switch the ratio if you get a lift and bigger tires. I just bought a 4.5” lift for my 88 Comanche 4.0 and the wheels are 15in and the tires have an aspect ratio of 75. I want to put 32.5s on the the 15in wheel cuz I think the wheel looks cool the way it is and new wheels are just expensive. My question is what should my gear ratio be? I’m trying to turn this into my daily car and I drive a lot. I’m also getting the suspension and bigger tires for off-road purposes so I want it to cater to both an everyday use and off road. Also how can I improve my mpg?
  4. Hello, I'm new to this forum and l'm new to cars in general. And I just got a 1988 Comanche 4.0L from one of my family members. I've always wanted a project car and I'm really excited about this one. I have no idea what I need to do to it anymore. The car runs great and it has about 200,000 miles on it. The last time I think it was serviced was 2016. So far I've changed the headlights to LEDs and took out he seats so I can clean the carpet. I don't know what else I need to do other than mods. Tomorrow I was planning on cleaning the interior and putting in new speakers and changing the spark plugs I've just been learning off YouTube so far. The key hole for turning on the car doesn't need a key to start and I have no idea how to fix that, also the blinkers get stuck and it's loose also the needle for the speedometer is wobbly till you hit about 40mph. Can someone point me in the right direction? Here's a couple of pictures. (Some were before I started working on it)
