  1. To the right of the airbox is one of the coolant reservoirs, maybe the only one. It's covered by an orange hand wipe. Idk what the wider one behind it is. Think it might be for wiper fluid? The truck came bone dry.
  2. Doesn't seem to be closed as both tanks are just regular plastic tanks with caps that can easily come off
  3. Not sure what the difference is between and open or closed cooling system to be honest
  4. My MJ is in a garage with some tuner cars and one of the kids just rolled through with a custom coolant reservoir that looked slick and took up virtually no space in his engine bay. I was wondering if I could do the same in my 2.5L MJ considering there are two coolant tanks and they take up 1/8th of the right side of the engine bay. Would love to be enlightened on why I can or can't do this by someone with more experience. Thanks in advance.
  5. I'm definitely replacing all of the battery wiring. I moved them slightly and the insulation cracked right off. Thanks for the recommendation on the clamps.
  6. Planning to do this. Also, planning to re-loom the wiring harnesses and enclose that fuse section in some sort of box to make it look nicer. Would also love to consolidate the grounds if possible to a single ground bar.
  7. Hey, Just got my hands on an 87 2.5L MJ. The previous owner mentioned a vacuum leak which was causing it to stall and since then I've noticed hoses all over are cracked and leaking. Along with the the wiring looks like a total mess and some of the insulation has cracked leaving bare copper. I was thinking about redoing the electrical but was wondering if anyone ever used an XJ style fuse box or similarly fabricated means of making the electrical system more appealing to the eye. Additionally I would love to be able to eliminate as many vacuum lines as possible as well as any other unnecessary components. Would love any feedback at all.
