All the relays I know of. As soon as I add an additional power source it runs perfectly. Just have to source where the power to the red wire on the large test connector comes from.
So… loss of power at source where black wire goes into large connector resulted in no fuel injection and no spark. Applied a jumper from smaller connector with power when ignition on. Running fine now. Would love to find the power source to the red wire again.
Pulled a power source from one of the test connectors under plastic cover. Largest connector. No longer have power at that source. Shorted something. Possible hidden fuse somewhere?
Fuel pump runs continuously even after priming. No injection activity. I think I might have shorted something out trying to connect some DRL’s. had ign on, looking for power source when fuel pump fired up. I knew I screwed up something. Where is a good place to start? 2.5 87.
So… both of these gauges read poorly. Temp reads low and oil gauge reads high. Thought I saw something a little while back and grounding. Any suggestions?
Sooooo. Couple of start/stop engine in a row today. Now idle too high. 1987 2.5. No sign of vacuum leaks. Checked idle control solenoid, disassembled and inspected, seems ok but it is what is causing the idle as it’s pushing the throttle. Unplugging makes no difference. Engine running very smoothly. No other issues detected. Possible idle control valve again? Help?
I got a transmission wine in 1,2,3. No noise in 4, telling me it’s a input shaft main bearing. What transmission do I have, I suspect it’s the one that has a lot of similarities with the 4 speed Toyota, and what special tools might I need?
