  1. my original question was about a plugged catalytic converter ,those were engine vacuum readings not fuel pressure.
  2. i have the 2.5tbi in my 86, warm engine I have 12 lbs high revved I have 18 lbs I wonder what normal is. thanks for the reply.
  3. sorry for not posting any updates in a while i am 69 now and having some health issues, the truck is running much better but if shut off hot it will still stumble twice on restart then run fine after that, I am wondering if being that almost all 78000 miles on it were at 25 miles an hour if maybe my catalytic converter is plugged and that would explain the stumble and low vacuum readings I get?
  4. spring has come to the north country. project updates so far. new rear brake pads, new flexible caliper brake lines, new fuel pump and sending unit, boiled out fuel tank and coated it, new clutch ,flushed radiator new thermostat, today replaced 205/75 tires with 235/75 tires, still fighting intermittent low speed bog on motor. added power steering and new fan clutch.
  5. red on red 4x4 4spd, parked since 04 because of 2.5tbi carb issues supposedly ran but chugged. basic trim, headliner drooping, parked in a shed with sand floor since 04 pretty much unmolested, for a minnesota truck it has no rust. right now i am trying to get fuel tank cleaned out before moving on to trying to start it, applied for title yesterday so just waiting on state bureauachracy before proceeding to far.
  6. parked since 04 because of carb issues, is one of the 50 2.5tbi motors what is the best carb to replace it? truck has 77000 miles on it.
