  1. I drilled some holes in the frame under the cab and its thiiiiin Lesson learned i am going to fab the entire frame inder the cab from 3mm plate instead of patching.
  2. I kept the Rights side front bed mount as reference and because it looked okay, but on further inspection top plate is delaminating from rust, so i still need to replace the last 4 inches of the top frame plate.
  3. Hi Now most of the topplate on rear frame is new aswell as the lower 2 inches the entire frame. new 1 inch drop springmounts I inspected the X frame and it was bad aswell so i decided fab a new one from 80x80 no more layered plate. I still need to fab the tie ins from x to upper lip. Bed mounts welded in. Theres around 30% orignal metal in the rear frame left.... "Why didnt you fab the entire frame from box profiletubing.... Better, stronger, easier and no doubleplate?" in hindsight...........

  8. Hi from Denmark I got my hands on a 1988 Jeep Comanche Laredo Longbed Big ton. I have known the jeep and owner for close to 20 years. It has been in a carport since 2011. I want to restore/build it because its a awesome little 4x4 and i freaking love to restore/rebuild stuff in the garage (theraphy) and my last big project has just been moved out:-) Project goal: Rustfree, reliable(wiring/electrical) daily driver with a lot off my mods. At my work i develop fixtures for robot and cnc machines, everything from inventing/drawing it up in Inventor to lasercutting/bending/milling/welding..... useful :-)
