  1. Comically dubbed Frankie, this MJ has been through some stuff... Engine: Renix 4.0L I6 242hp Rebuilt Trans: AX-15 5 speed manual T-case: NP 231 Front Axle: Dana 30 Rear Axle: Dana 35 Wheelbase: 113 in, short bed Build Date: 05/90 Location: East of Seattle, WA, Cascade Range Daily Driver with 262,000 miles. Rebuilt at 256,000 miles. Cherry Red (though mostly pink and white now), cloth bench seat, floor shift. Not quite a stroker build, but I pumped another few horsepower with: ALL new auxiliary components including new distributor cap, steering pump, fuel injectors, fly/clutch/flexplate combo, etc. New suspension including Front lift puck 2", Bilstein shocks front and back, new ball joints, stabilizer, adjustable control arms and track bar, etc. Removed OEM clutch fan and replace it with dual electric fans. New light bar mounted on top. 32" tires on 17" rims Replacing dash display with all electronic readout. And finally a little windshield wiper gremlin that came with the truck. Can never get those things to work right after almost a decade....
  2. Very much a newbie here: you're referring to the registry on this forum? Or is there another place to register?
  3. Thanks all. I will go ahead and recheck everything underneath for shifting, and also get those tires balanced. Appreciate it!
  4. Hey all, first post. I have a 1990 Jeep MJ I've done a LOT of work to over the years. Rebuilt 4.0 engine, lifted 3 inches, adjustable track bar, adjustable lower control arms, new damper, new ball joints (all), newish 32" tires. Balanced and aligned, twice because I can't figure this problem out: I still have front end shake after years. Used to be death wobble, but since replacing all the suspension compontents other threads have suggested (joints, arms, bars) it's since reduced. I get vibration between 50 and 55, and it likes to travel in the lane even slower than that. I'm thinking it's the caster, which a lot of people say should be unaffected at a 3" lift at stock 4.2°. Mine is sitting at 6.4°. My next thought is unaligned driveshaft pinions, since the lift pulled the t-case higher than the axle, but not much further. I've read that can cause shake and oscillations. Any help is appreciated. I do all my own work, and am knowledgable enough to fix what's broken, but some things I still need a hand with.
