1991 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Orinally 2WD 2.5 5 speed. Previous owner attempted Mercedes diesel, automatic conversion and gave up and listed the truck for sale. I converted the truck to 4.0 ho, 5 speed, 4WD. I’ve owned it for a little over 3 years now and it has certainly become part of the family. I’ve owned well over 30 Jeeps over the years but this one has found it’s permanent home.

Owned her for about 2 years. I believe I’m the 3rd owner. Original owner had it for most of its life. 2nd owner only had it for a short period of time.

While I've found plenty of write-ups and info on 2.5 to 4.0 swaps on pre-91 MJs, I haven't found much info on my particular situation. I have a 91 Comanche that was originally and 2.5 5 speed 2wd. I recently bought the Jeep as a roller after the PO gave up on a OM617 diesel swap. My question is that since I already have an HO era truck, will a 91-95 4.0 harness mate up to the firewall connector without issue? If not, I'm just going to full 97+ swap the Jeep. I own a Jeep salvage business so parts aren't hard for me to come by. Thanks in advance, Mike
