  1. I have the aluminum cover from a dodge V8, and have been using it with the vacuum lines hooked up according to posts from CC. it's been ok, but I've been getting oil out of the top end of my dipstick tube, the joint between the dipstick tube and block, and from the joint between my distributor and block. I have changed the seal between the dist. and block twice with no change, and have yet to tackle any seals with the dipstick tube. to be clear, the elbow vent at the back of the valve cover is tubed to the air box, and the little brass CCV at the front drivers side of the cover is tubed to the throttle body. explanation aside, I have been wondering after seeing a post on a TJ forum, should I do something differently on my valve cover? is all this oil a result of excess block pressure because there's no true PCV valve, and just breathers and CCVs on my cover? have any of you modified your valve cover to fit PCV valves?

  4. 88 Sport truck - 4cyl 4sdp 2wd renix Just swapped from AX4 to an AX5, and I immediately realized since the renix speedo is mechanically driven and the ax5 is out of a newer TJ, my speedo won't just plug right up and work. The reason I'm here is to learn more about this issue and determine if its preferable to swap my speedo to an electronic one, or do something to make the mech speedo work with the ax5 I just put in, and what it takes to do that. pls
