  1. I have partial pictures of 2.8L V6 engines, and the tops of the shrouds do in fact match what the internet shows for the 2.5L. I'll try one more time, and thank you very much for that information. The parts yards here in San Antonio NEVER have the 2.8L engine but I'll call about the 2.5s.
  2. I have ordered two fan shrouds that are way too small for the fan and radiator for my '86 2.8L V6 MJ (they say "Guaranteed to Fit Your 2.8L V6". The fan is 16" in diameter, the shroud connection points are at the horizontal edges of the radiator sides, about 21 1/2" apart. The fan is offset from center by about 2". I lost the original in the rebuild, and photos on the internet don't give enough detail. I'm wanting to bring the engine bay back to OEM. I've looked at '84-'88 S-10 shrouds for this engine which look like they come in two parts but there are no dimensions in the ordering information. Does anyone have experience with a fan shroud for this engine?
  3. My truck only has 69,000 miles but I did rebuild the engine. The truck runs beautifully below 35 mph (even with AC), but when I put it under load it surges and sometimes misfires. I've checked timing and tried my best to clean the fuel system. It has the mechanical fuel pump (2nd one) and I've added a secondary fuel filter. This is the Rochester E2SE carb and I'm at the end of my competence on trying to get the thing to work properly. I can't afford to switch out the carb just yet. Is there such a thing as a person that can adjust this carb to make it work?
