  1. Got the firewall/tunnel shaped and burned in. Man does the metal suck on these trucks. Also starting to bend and fit 3/16 plate for inner frame stiffeners.
  2. Started fitting the engine and realized I should trim the firewall a bit to accommodate the bell housing.
  3. Got the rear axle truss partially burned in so I can start measuring for control arms.
  4. Rear axle is stripped and under the frame. Mocked up some Rear 4 link brackets.
  5. Burned in some frame horn brackets to help with rigidity.
  6. Shaved the battery tray and air box locations to open the wheel wells a bit.
  7. Started fitting and burning in the trussScooped up a couple 09 superduty axles from my local pull a part.
  8. Before I stripped all the paint I began metal work on the firewall and and other tabs and mounts to accept the 97+ dash conversion. I used a few parts from a donor xj.
  9. I’m about a year into this thing. I have changed careers so I now have time to put some time in and get it going. It started life as a 1990 2.5L pioneer that was lifted and 4.0 swapped. Now it’s under the knife again for a list of upgrades. Follow along and check it out. I do apologize for starting the thread a bit late. 👌🏻 So far I have stripped the Jeep, sandblasted inside and out, repaired a few places in the floor I didn’t like, and I epoxy sealed the body and raptor lined the rear “frame” and under body.
