My sons friends aunt had an MJ (1986, 2.8, 2wd, 161500 miles) with expired papers she wanted gone. Said it didn't run and I could have it for free. I went looked at it got it started and drove it home. took it camping the next weekend 270+ miles drove fine That was about 2 weeks ago, right now it's stuck in one of my fields waiting for drier weather.

When I registered my, new to me, MJ last week the old title said Jeep and the replacement says American I guess NYS is bringing back AMC.

I knew I was going to be asked for pics so.... The only bad rust in the drivers footwell There is a little bubbling on the rear wheel arches but I don't mind.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Steve K. and live in NY (Queens) I was just given an 86 Comanche 2wd. I've havd many Jeeps but this is my first MJ. I currently have a JK as my main transportation but could'nt turn down the MJ as it's in really nice condition. I intend to use it as it is now 2.8 2wd but I do have an 87 2dr XJ with a 4.0 that's body is trashed but has a good drive train that I would like to swap. I hear that this can be a challenge so I'm in no rush. I will probably not post alot (I belong to many Forums and BBs) but I will be here almost every day. Thanks in advance Steve K.
