  5. Yeah, it’s out of an explorer but don’t remember the exact year. I was able to pick it up locally with 4.11 factory gears, I knew I wouldn’t go over a 33” tire and 4.11 is what I figured I would use.
  6. How much shipped to 68521?
  7. Need left and right drip rail moldings.
  8. Lift done, tires and wheels mounted.
  9. Iron rock off road critical path long arms,6.5” springs and crossover steering. Unibody bracing for steering box.
  10. Rear axle 8.8 swap and SOA flip.
  11. Wiring swap and drivetrain install.

  15. One of the most time consuming parts of this swap was dealing with the firewall. I found a 1998 XJ that had severe rust issues in the roof and quarters as my donor and got started swapping everything over.
  16. The truck was missing the tailgate, unbelievably a local salvage yard had one on hand. I started disassembly and found that the rubber floor mat and heavy undercoating were masking some rotten floor pans.
  17. Picked up this “rust free” MJ in Colorado August of 2017. My intention was to do the full swap from a 97+ and make it look like a stock Comanche if they had continued making them. Once I got to replacing the rear axle early on in the build with an 8.8 I made the decision to do the axle flip and lift it ultimately delaying completion of the truck by a year or more due to funds.
