Hi everyone, I have an 88 Comanche 6cyl 4.0 2wd renix. This was my main vehicle growing up and now is with my dad. He was washing the engine a few weeks back with some degreaser and since then it's not working right. The engine keeps stalling and when you try to accelerate it almost like skips a gear. He took it in to his local mechanic (doesn't specialize in jeeps) and they told him the transmission is bad. Everything was working perfect before he washed the engine so we have a hard time believing that the transmission is shot. Any help on what could possibly be wrong would be greatly appreciated. By the way we are in South Florida. Thank You Ron
