Here’s my 1990 Jeep Comanche, bought it stock about 3 years ago, 2.5l with a 2wd AX4. The after pic is how it sits now, specs on build: 9.5” Rusty’s spring with 2” puck, roughly country long arm crossmember with custom made long arms out of 1.5x.250 DOM, rear is a Rusty’s 4” lift spring over axle. It also has rough country track bar drop down bracket and an adjustable track bar with a custom OTA track bar bracket. Rear shock tabs were re welded higher on the axle for clearance. Rear axle is an 8.25 out of a 96, front is a D30 out of an 86 I believe, regreared to 4.88, trans is a 4x4 AX5 out of an 86 Cherokee
  3. When swapping to the AX-5, i bought a clutch kit for the 2.5l and the concentric slave cylinder just hangs on there. I know there is a retaining clip, but when i put the clip on, it still just hangs there touching the top of the shaft. is it supposed to be this way, or should it be tight up against the back and not touching the shaft. i have a video here on my facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hunter.baney/videos/1402791649790626/ Any help is appreciated before i put the clutch set in and have it not work
  4. Do 2.5l wrangler transmissions fit in my 1990 Comanche? There is a 2002 wrangler transmission for 150 on craigslist in my area, and I was wondering if that would fit my 2.5l Comanche? What years would fit if any?
  5. I am trying to decide what transmission to put into my 90 Comanche that has the 2.5 liter, and someone keeps telling me to get the ax4 4wd transmission, which is impossible to find, because if I go with the ax5, my top speed will be 55 mph. I am planning on putting a 4.5 in lift with 33in tires. What do you guys think?
  6. My brother keeps telling me that if I go with the 5 speed, the car is going to be slow as hell..... he says my top speed will be about 55mph with a 4.5 in lift with 33in tires
  7. Is there any 4 speed transmissions that you know of that would work for it?
  8. I have just bought a 1990 keep Comanche 4 speed manual 2WD inline 4 and I was wondering what the best transmission and transfer case would be to convert to a 4wd. I would like it to still be a 4 speed manual
