Does anyone happen to recognize this 86 MJ? 2.8 auto with a 8.8 in the rear. CC windshield sticker and one on the back glass. Went and looked it over wit a friend who is thinking about buying it.

88 MJ with a manual is likely the puke goate unfortunately. I'd still give you $500 for it and come get it. ;) Also listen to the other members. Buy a parts xj and do your conversion with it. That is what I'm doing right now. Picture is when I brought her home in 06.

Looking for some MJ specific help here. I have an 88 that the column was sloppy on. Well I tore it down and tightened the annoying bolts in it. When I put it back together shortly after the ignition quit moving freely. So I tore back into it and found the rod bent. I pulled a column out of a parts xj and the rod is completely different. Is it possible I basically bent the rod straight? Anyone have a column out that can post pictures of how the rod goes in the switch and how the switch mounts on the column?

I've had this jeep with a blown motor for about 10 years. One of my sons. I have twins. Fell in love with it so instead of fixing it and flipping it it stayed. Glad I did now. Anyway does anyone have any info on the body data tag? I know CA is Pearl White. Top is vin I know but what are the other numbers meaning? I emailed Jeep and they sent me to Chrysler Historical Services but they only sent me a couple brochures. I tried to post them to photobucket but they don't take pdf's.
