  1. 1989 Jeep Comanche[/background] 4.0 , BA10, NP231 Short Wheel Base Quick peek I think it has a Dana 30 Front and a Dana 35 rear Not sure of the Build date. The PO changed to doors to give vent windows Current Location: Brookville, PA (northwestern Pennsylvania) Status: The truck has sat in a garage for the last 4 years, but it will be on the road again soon, after some floor pans, redoing the brakes, and changing the slave cylinder. Notes: The truck came with a spare engine and transmission(BA10), aluminum wheels (not on the truck), a fiberglass cap, extra doors, a hood.. boxes of pieces. Apparently the PO had had a parts truck that rusted away, so he pulled things that he thought he may want. The truck has a bench seat, and rubber floor. It still has the work light under the hood - and it still works. It has a home built pipe bumper on the rear. And has a custom rear spring pack that supposedly has more weight capacity. Current owner: me ;) We have contacted Jeep and obtained a printout of the build specs. Although it is sort of confusing, as it is a just a list of options. I was going to post a couple of pics, but could not figure out how to do this. (new mac, and new to forums) Hopefully we will be able to get it back on the road real soon.. The PO was wanting to rebuild it with a 350 and make a toy, as it wasn't practical as his daily driver anymore. And he literally looked as if he was going to cry as we pulled away. It was his first vehicle. And he had it for 16 years. Now it is MY first vehicle. Hopefully it will last me at least 16 years!
