A little background on my 89 Comanche. Bought it from a guy who bought it new as his "fishing truck" he drove daily. He got a new truck years ago (4-5 years) and parked the Comanche. Needless to say the gas was like crisco. So here's what I've done, started with cleaning the tank and lines and put in an old fuel pump I had laying around that was working (just not well) just to try and get it running, that didn't work. Since I've replaced the fuel regulator, fuel filter, CPS, injectors and today I replaced the fuel pump. It wouldn't crank at all until today when I replaced the fuel pump. Now it will crank, stays running for 2-3 seconds and cuts off. If I so much as breathe on the gas pedal it cuts off. If I use starter fluid it will crank and run for just a little bit longer but eventually cuts off. Any ideas, is there something I am missing? Anyone ever had this same problem?
