  3. I'll pay for shipping
  4. Anyone has an 89 computer laying around for a 4x4 that they are willing to sell?
  5. Would the speedo drive adapter just bolt up, or will i have to find some adapter for it?
  6. How do i check to see what gear ratio my t-case has?
  7. Well its an automatic so it is an AW4
  8. I have a 1992 Mj that I am looking to make 4x4. I bought an 89 Mj Transmission and T-case for a decent price that I was thinking of putting it on my 92. I was doing more research and I found out that from the 90's the speedometer now is electronic. (Or something like that) Will putting this transmission mess with my speedometer? If so, what can I do to get it to work properly? I know its possible to convert a AW4 to 4wd if you change the output shaft and adapt the t-case, will this be a bit easier or more convenient? The reason I am thinking of this is because I would like to keep my mj as close as possible to what it came like originally, and my transmission has way less miles. I would appreciate any of y'alls jeepxperience :)
  9. Hey y'all I just bought myself an aw4 with a tcase for my 1992 4.0 automatic comanche. i am planning on keeping my d35 rear and buying a d30 front with the same gear ratio, which i am more than sure its a 3.55. my question is, what are the lengths of the front and rear drive shafts. I am planning on going to a pull-a-part to get the drive shafts and dif from an Xj but I would like to have the right length of the shafts. I am planning on keeping my baby stock so i wouldnt need a slip yoke eliminator. V/R -Thepepenator
  10. So in other words, since they are both renix it will work?
  11. The floter on my 92 mj went out, and i do not like the idea of driving around not knowing how much gas i have. I looked on ebay, and saw one in my local autozone; I called them and they informed me that the one they had was for a 1993 xj. To me, they look the same. now, my question is, will it actually work? I have read some posts saying it will, then some other people say it will not work at all. I don't want to spend $80+ to buy something that will simply not work.
  12. Thanks for the help!
  13. I recently bought a 1992 comanche 4.0 automatic. it is a 2wd. I was reading some forums and other info, and by the looks of it I have a AW4. is this true? Also, I have a 1994 jeep Cherokee transmission with over drive, would this be a direct swap? as in will it go in without having to mess with the computer and other stuff? The reason of my curiosity is because my MJ has the shifter on the steering wheel and i am not too fond of that, and the Xj transmission's shifter is on the floor, and I like the idea of having over-drive. Id appreciate any help.

  15. I recently installed some rubicon 44's on my xj and finally hooked up my lockers. They work flawlessly. But I have a question. I can get a transfer case from a 69 bronco which is a dana 20 for less then $100 bucks. I know there's flip kits out there for them and I can put twin sticks. My question is, is it worth it, and can it be hooked up to a aw4?
  16. Hi everyone, I know this question has been asked many times. I have been looking everywhere and I find a lot of posts about people doing it and not so much on the how. A year ago I bough both Axles from a 04 Rubicon with compressors and wiring harnesses all for $1,400. Personally, I thought it was a hell of a price. I was able to find someone say that its a simple connect the compressor to the battery with a relay and then connect that to a switch to run each locker separately, and to avoid using the factory wiring. However, I have also found people saying to connect everything in the harness but not the pink wire. Has anyone here done it? If so, can you please help me out a bit or just sending me the link of where to find the answer I need help with. Thank you guys in advanced -Jose
  17. How much are you asking for the B pillar's and the other p[lastics on that picture? I am in Mcallen Tx
  18. Hey guys, I am about to finish my build, but i am stuck on something. I am putting a 1999 XJ difs on my MJ, I did the instal already and it gave me a good lift in the back, but i am not happy with that lift. I want to weld some spring pad perches on the bottom of my XJ dif so it can fit on like the original dif. My question is, If I get a Lift for an XJ that comes with the complete Leaf springs, will i be able to mount the differential over the leaf spring like the MJ comes originally, or will i have to spend a little extra penny and get one for an MJ. If this has been answered or asked before, feel free to send me the link of the post Thanks!!!
  19. What about interior trim? other than the horizontal plastic under the rear window, could i use the pillars and other plastics from an XJ on an MJ?
