  1. Bought it from rock auto, it was a b*@$£ to put in. Took me 3-4 hours with box cutter and determination.
  2. Been awhile, haven't gotten too much done but here is some of the progress made via pictures :)
  3. For a comanche i'm not sure but i replaced the floor pans on a cherokee and you could get inside the frame rails with the pans removed. I would imagine you could on the comanche as well.
  4. Update: 7/20 Bought a parts Cherokee to start the rebuild. :D 97 cherokee 4.0 ax-15 5-spd

  6. Working on getting a 97+ Parts cherokee, if any of you michigan members know of one.
  7. Hey everyone, I'm sure someone has asked this before and if so if someone knows the thread i would be very grateful. Other wise what i am trying to determine is how difficult if possible is it to upgrade to the 97+ 4.0L with dash and everything but still being able to retain the drive line from the transmission down. Currently i have a renix 4.0 in my 88' comache which was converted to 4wd with a ax-15, transfercase(not sure which type), and axles that supposedly came from another comanche of the same year. It was 2wd with the puegot trans before the swap. I would really like to keep it a manual rather than changing it to the auto trans common in the newer cherokees. Alternatively is it reasonable to use the dash and drivetrain out of tj? I don't know if anyone has tried this or if its even possible to do. Anyone here have advice?
  8. Hey guys, I'm new here I recently purchased this baby My plan so far is to do a 97+ front clip swap to start and repaint the whole thing. Eventually i would like to do the 97+ dash swap as well but that looks pretty complicated. I look forward to learning lots of new things from this forum and its members, from what i have read so far you guys look like a classy group of people. More to come when i have time to start working on it. :)
