  4. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. But she is driving!!!the orbital I had originally used was a 5 port which is no good for this application. I picked up a 4 port trail gear orbital from eBay for about $400 with shipping and now I can turn it with 1 finger! upload img I drove it around town and it was terrifying. The franken-driveshaft I made was neither straight nor round. I tried to move it in my yard the next day and sheared the bolts for the straps on the t-case yoke. So it was time to lower her. I steered away from a mud truck/crawler crossover and I'm going full crawler. I picked up some brand spankin new 38 tsl's on hummer rims with new centers, beadlocks and pvc inserts from Massachusetts. Then I remounted the rear shocks top and bottom. Tomorrow I will remount the front. Gotta say I'm loving this new look and I can't wait until she's trail worthy and I can take her to Rausch creek free photo upload
  5. Well she didn't make it to jeep invasion. Steering never got finished. But there was a monster truck there that you can take rides on and I was crawling around it taking pictures of his steering set up. So I will change mine to copy his and hopefully that will solve my problem image upload no limit
  6. My buddy works at a forklift parts depot and hooked me up with a steering orbital. I fabbed up a steering column and threw it in yesterday. Still have to mount the Steering wheel. Gauges are in and being wired. It's going to be a photo finish but it could possibly move under its own power by Friday upload a gif
  7. Cut apart 3 driveshafts to make one. Tried to bolt it up but the angle was just too rediculous so I had to cut apart the rear upper links and extend them 4.5". Now my whole rear is at a rediculous angle but the driveshaft angles are looking pretty good. Fabbed up a trans tunnel, punted the seat, finished the coolant lines, almost got the brake lines done, fabbed up the crossover steering bar and began mounting the hydro ram images hosting
  8. From my understanding the springs control ride height but I'm far from an expert
  9. Thanks guys I always like to hear what you guys think. The rear spring rates are 100/200. Front are 150/200. Really soft which allows for drop flex
  10. Got the exhaust mounted up. Sounds good. A little quiet for my liking but not bad. They are mounted differently because of where the headers fall. The passenger side is pushed out because of the starter uploading pictures
  11. Put my switches in the dash. Throw the dash in for a test fit. I didn't take the bump out on the dash into effect when I made the twin sticks and one hits it when pushed forward. So tomorrow I'll be modifying those. 1 step forward, 1 step back images hosting
  12. Thanks I've been devoting every free second to this truck to have it done in time. And yea I was noticed they're pretty sharp I'm going to do something to make them less lethal
  13. pic hosting Fabbed up the twin sticks today. Had a couple fake grenades laying around so I mounted them on top. Looks pretty bad @$$ to me what do you guys think?
  14. Started the motor up today!! Been spending every second I have on this truck trying to get it done by June 19. It's coming together nicely. I'm at the worst part of any project which is the 1000 tiny things that need to be done and when you get 10 things done in one day you still feel like you didn't get far. Today was a little bit of everything. Mounted the fans. Ran some coolant lines. Started running brake and clutch lines. Wiring. Installed battery tray and battery. And bolted the starter up image hosting over 5mb
  15. That would be a great idea except you wouldn't be able to open the tailgate. Hence why the can didn't get screwed down. I am thinking about screwing a beer can to the top of the bedside though lol like above the tailight
  16. The funny part is this truck came with a Chevy motor. The 2.8 v6
  17. I was thinking about screwing it down so it can't move and people will wonder why it's not falling off
  18. Finally sitting at a good height click image upload
  19. Thanks lol but bigger truck, bigger problems
  20. Anyone on here in the Nj area going to jeep invasion in June??
  21. Lol thanks. Today I'm hopping to put a big dent in the brakes. The wiring Is almost completely ran and ready for the gauges. And I'll mount the passenger side running board Had some free time at work so I whipped up a battery tray photo hosting
  22. Remounted rear shocks today free image hosting Keg is mounted and plumbed image upload no size limit photo share image url upload
