  1. when you say dim do you mean as if there were something wrong with your lights compared to a factory mj? If so I would first check to make sure your getting proper voltage to your pins on the headlamp connector. Inspect wires and connectors for corrosion. If you increase your headlamp wattage to 100w I would say anything 16 awg or larger will be plenty. I do not know what factory wire size is. When searching for a bulb not only consider wattage but lumen output and color temperature. However you are limited by the parabolic shape of the housing its self as far as overall light projection. A better brighter bulb will only optimize the factories intended projection. I would either look for alternative options for housings to accommodate your preferred light projection or run auxiliary lights in combination with your factory lights. Just my opinion on the topic.
  2. Joester, I'm hesitant on doing a soa because my rear leaves are not in good condition. I pulled this truck out of a field not running for 500 dollars so you can imagine what kind of shape everything is in. I would do a soa but I would want to buy new stock leaves and do it that way. I figure if I want to buy springs anyways why not just go with the lift springs instead of doing the soa. I also thought I would come here and ask you guys the best route since I'm no expert and I thank everyone for their advice, tips, and that parts list was nice too! So money not a huge factor what would you recommend is the best option of the ones given?
  3. thanks for the response everyone. i'm thinking of contacting one of these companies and see if they'll sell me just rear leaves and build the front just using xj components or simply go with rustys. I'm not a big fan of rough country. I'm not looking for top shelf jeepspeed stuff just something to go play with on the weekends and have fun with
  4. I've done some research and I can't find a clear answer. I'm looking for a complete lift kit (4.5" or better) including new leafs springs, not add a leaf or spring over conversion.
