  1. I have an '88 Comanche Pioneer I've owned since new (2WD/long bed/4.0 liter/5-speed), and it's been a great truck all these years. In fact, it's still my daily-driver! I've done some searching on this site, but maybe I'm not too good at it, so I'm hoping somebody can tell me a manufacturer and part # for a speedometer cable for this truck (it doesn't have cruise control). I looked on Rock Auto, and again maybe I didn't do it right, but all I found listed was one for an auto transmission version. Thanks in advance for the help! Steve
  2. Thanks for the inputs, guys! Steve
  3. Hi all, I'm planning to replace my original fuel pump, and would like to get recommendations on which brand/part # to buy. Truck is an '88 5-speed, and original pump has 180,000+ on it. I took a look on rockauto and found these: https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?ck[iD]=0&ck[idlist]=0&ck[viewcurrency]=USD&ck[php_SESSION_ID]=fsrhc73kacnta5p5fk6erecch4 Have any particular ones of these proven reliable? What others does anybody recommend? Thanks, Steve
  4. I too thank all for the replies so far. Further questions: 1. Are truly new 746 injectors available? 2. If yes, from where? 3. Will that source have the connectors needed to adapt the injectors to the stock wire harness? Thanks again all, Steve
  5. Hi all, I'd really appreciate if somebody knowledgeable on the subject would comment back about my previous post (#5 above). My truck is an '88 5-speed. Thanks in advance for the help! Steve
  6. I did a search for "replacement fuel injectors", and found an old post that contained this source: http://precisionautoinjectors.com/collections/jeep-injectors/products/bosch-3rd-generation-4-hole-upgrade-ev6-fuel-injectors-for-1987-1995-jeep-4-0l-engines Has anybody tried these? If so, what positive or negative experience did you have with them? Thanks, Steve
  7. Does any particular brand seem to have better success?
  8. Hi all, First-time poster here. Have owned my '88 Comanche since new, and still drive it every day (177K miles). MANY years ago, I remember being told the only clutch fluid to use was either factory Mopar or Girling, so I bought a bottle of the Mopar (p/n 04549625). Though there's still some left, I'm sure it's now not good to use due to age. That said, I need to buy some new fluid. What brand/part number is now recommended? Appreciate all replies! Steve
