  1. Hey everyone as a few of you may kno I am new to the forum I have an 88 comanche with a 4.0 A/T and it has a 97+dash in it but there are problems the factory cluster is still in the dash and the speedo works lights work in the cluster only the gas gauge is a little finicky and the signals on the cluster stay on solid but none of the lights stay on solid on the outside of the truck it's just the arrows. Now it has this dash in it but nothing else works at all the climate control dosent work neither dose the vent adjuster knob and neither dose the fan speed and nothing else works or lights up cigarette lighter ect....the joker who sold this too me actually has the blower motor wires hard wired to the battery so everytime I need to defrost my windows I have to pop the hood and twist the wires back togeather and then it only blows on high I know that's dude to the resistors not being hooked up but I want to resolve this issue. My bro is an auto body technition/mechanic at heart but he even thinks the wiring is gonna be a pain he thinks I should just try to find a dash that's supposed to be in here and it seems all the old wiring is intact and there I can try and get some pics up of the dash and wiring tomorrow but this issue needs to be resolved and I'm trying to do it the easiest fastest way possible help would be greatly appreciated and I would rather get the interior back to its original state with all the wiring correct.....and money really isant an issue I have the money to do what I have to do so just so everyone knos spending the money on the right dash would not bother me
  2. Well today was the first day I got the chance to undress Jessica and see what she's made of. Her main seal is perfectly fine!! The joker that sold it to me cannot diagnose mechanical problems. It turns out that it was just the valve cover gasket. I changed the old girls oil and made her valve cover look like new. Her undercarriage is beautiful. Not one dry rotted spot on her. She does need a rear window though and a step so I can mount her with ease. I took her for her first romp in the snow. I have never had a 4x4 before, and with all this snow, I'm absolutely loving it. She is so fun to drive. Now all I need is a good girl to enjoy her with. I've already got four compliments at one gas station and one $3000 offer. I'm not selling!! Can't wait to really strip her down and make her sing!!!
  3. What's up everyone. My name is Dudd, DK for short. I am new to the Comanche world. Just purchased an '88 with102,000 on the odometer it has the 4.0 liter with an automatic transmission. I love Jessica, that's her name. She needs some TLC. The rear main seal is leaking like a siv. She has a '98 dash so none of my interior controls work or light up besides the cluster but the climate controls don't work at all the provirus owner just had the fan hard wired to the battery. I want to put an older dash in it so everything works without having to change the wiring harness. She has a rough country 3inch lift with 31inch tires also has a roll bar with a full size spare montes on it. Posting pics soon. I'm in love though! Hit me up with any suggestions or comments.
