Hey everyone. Last night my truck was giving off a strange smell but went away after about a minute so I didn't think anything of it. Then today it did it again, this time with white/gray smoke coming from the ignition/steering column/vents. It wasn't antifreeze, it smelled more electrical. I recently installed a Kenwood stereo along with aftermarket speakers. Everything was installed correctly and I wire capped all the splicing. However, the wires for the right front speaker came unspliced and without thinking I spliced them back together with the power on and instantly heard a buzz like something was shorted out. I checked all the fuses under the steering column and they're all good but haven't checked under the hood yet. Since that happened the truck has been doing odd things. If the interior lights are completely off you can hear a slight buzzing but it goes away if you turn the interior lights or the headlights on. You can also hear the same buzzing when the truck revs above 3,000 RPMs. I'm thinking it's a bad fuse somewhere under the hood and I'm guessing it would be in my best interest not to be driving it until I diagnose the problem, which is gonna be difficult because it's my daily driver to school and work every day. The truck also stalls out occasionally when idling or when the I let off the gas while driving, but as long as I give it gas it won't stall, and the cat converter has a slight crack in it, I doubt that would have anything to do with it but if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
