  1. Found the problem, ended up being a bare connector in the fuel tank hitting the side of it and grounding the pump out. Thanks again everyone!
  2. Thank you all for the replies, I will try and check all options this evening. The reason I didn't think it was fuel related is because it shuts off so immediately with no stutter and starts right back up. I figured if it was running out of fuel it would take a second to build pressure back up before starting.
  3. Okay cool yeah I'll try to get it back on the lift tonight and check the harness and pull the assembly and check all wires and connections and I'll see what I find. Thanks!
  4. Hoping you all can help me out here. A few months ago my fuel pump went out on me. Put a new one in it and it seemed to run great, noticed it had a fuel leak around where the assembly goes into the tank so I put a new seal in it. Ever since I've had an issue of the jeep randomly shutting off. No stumbling or cutting out, will just be driving down the road and it's like you cut the key off. Sometimes it will go for miles without cutting out, sometimes you make it a few feet. It always starts right back up though, and doesn't seem to have an extended crank time or anything. Just put a new CPS as I know it is a common problem and it didn't help it. Thanks in advance!
  5. Thanks for the replies! That's why I came here to ask lol. Maybe it'd be a better move to just throw some chromo shafts in the d30, lock it, and see what happens lol. JK axles around here seem to be rather pricy around here at least.
  6. I have a SWB 88 Comanche with a 4.0 and AW4, currently running a 8.8 SOA in the rear and dana 30 front, both geared to 4.88. I'm thinking of selling my 99 Tj and I've been tossing around the idea of swapping in a HP44 and 9 inch out of a late 70's ford pickup into my Comanche. Any advantages disadvantages I should know about before hand? Truck gets mildly wheeled. Would like to go from a 33 to a 35 in the near future. Thanks in advance!
