Hey guys. What brand or model could I use for the transmition, front and rear axles and diffs, and driveshafts to convert it to 4 wheel drive? Something cheap, like i guess i could get the tranny at a junk yard and maybe some dana 60's or 70's? And what about the drive shafts, could i get those in a junk yard and maybe cut them and fit them if they don't fit?

Wuts up guys. I'm pretty new here. I got a Comanche from my dad and it was in bad condition. On my days off me and a couple buddy's work on it over a 12 pack. Our goal is tp build up again as clean as possible. I want to switch the rear leaf springs to coil spring for better articulation. I also want new front and rear ends. Maybe Dana 60's and a new tranny with transfer case to do a 4 wheel drive conversion. And then lift it up of course. Click this link to see where I'm at as of now. Hey everybody... i got some stupid questions. 1) How do I drain the power stearing fluid so i can remove it? 2) How do i remove the second bold from the AC compressor that is blocked by the fan? Thx in advance

Engine overhaul

Thx Pete. I wanna remove the engine b/c I need to do some body work so i'll paint the engine bay as well... plus i got an engine hoist so why not. -
I just got an '88 L6 and there's a lot of corrosion of wires under the hood, some pipes are corroded and 2 years ago when it was last used there were some problems w/ the sensors. The engine would just turn off. I want to pull the engine out and replace/clean up/fix all these issues. Does anyone know of a good service manual that can help me through this?

Hey evryone... just got an '88 comanche. I heard from a buddy that all the pollution control stuff can be stripped off the engine and just have a simple setup. Said there are manuals you can buy on how to do that... anyone know where I can get one? And also a good service manual?
