  1. thanks,Eagle and yxmj, for taking the time to respond to my post, and for your helpful information. :)
  2. I have an '88 comanche with the ba10/5 trans. When the outside temp. is approx. 40 deg. or lower, the speedometer reads way faster than the actual road speed when going approx.10 mph or faster, and there is a whining noise that seems to be coming from the speedo cable and/or the speedo output gear in the trans. When slowing down below 10 mph,the noise stops, and the speedo reads correctly.I have filled the trans. with the correct grade & weight of gear oil. When it is warm outside, it works great.Has anyone else experienced this?Any ideas on what causes this and/or how to correct it would be greatly appriciated! Thanks.
  3. Hello. I'm from Canton,Ohio and I have a 2.5L from a two-owner (bought it from my father-in-law) '87 Comanche. Complete engine w/alt.,P/S pump, etc. Has 116K mi.& ran good when removed from trk. in Jan.'11. Has been kept in garage since. (Trk. was scrapped due to broken/rusted frame on both sides.) Price is $150.00. PM me if you're interested. Thanks.
  4. Hello. Saw your ad that you wanted to buy a Comanche.Wondered if you were still looking for one. If so, I have an '88 listed for sale on this forum. I drive it to work regularly. Please let me know if you are interested.Thanks.
  5. i had an '87 comanche that did that when i'd go over a bridge on the highway. replaced the steering shock or damper (looks like a shock absorber mounted sideways),located between steering linkage and frame,i believe, and that took care of the problem. good luck.
