  1. I took the part 8 and flipped it and it seems to be working properly now. Question, what is part 10? as I don't think I have that part.
  2. Its a three spoke.
  3. I pulled my steering wheel off yesterday as well as the big cam hub. When I put it back together and start the vehicle or even turn the key to on position the horn blows and will not shut off without turning the car off. It is an 88 comanche. This morning I disconnected the wire at the horn and now with the car on I get a clicking sound out of the steering column. Does anybody have pics of horn assembly? I didnt remove any wiring and the only thing I can think of is the horn is somehow depressing all the time but not really sure why. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to it but I must be missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Rob
  4. I got them off of an 89 or 90 XJ. The ratchet mechanisms are completely different from one to the other. I was a bit surprised when I got it home and saw the differences. I really thought I had scored as it only cost me $7 at pull a part.
  5. Or if someone has one for sale? 88 comanche bucket seats grey in color.
  6. So my drivers side seat belt is not working properly. Does anybody know where I can get an aftermarket seat belt? I went and got one out of pull a part for an xj and it is completely different. Any help would be great. Rob
  7. I am leaning towards the exhaust leak. The truck has been sitting about a year, was hit on d/s rear bed. When I bought it the truck was on empty, I am wondering if the fuel pump may be bad? I put it on the rack at work, I work at a 4wheel drive shop, this morning and the fuel filter is brand new, new 02 sensor, the plug wires are in the right firing order. The exhaust leak is horrid! Looks like quite the pita to get to the bottom manifold bolts. I did tighten the uppers, they were pretty loose. Looks like the po had the exhaust completely redone, from manifold back, new cat, muffler, down pipe, and tail pipe. I picked this truck up for $340 and it is mint, minus the bed. Factory bucket seats, floor $#!& auto, full gauge package, a/c that works, cruise that works, pwr windows and locks. Could the TPS be the issue? The thing runs great in all aspects except initial takeoff.
  8. Sorry, 4.0
  9. I searched for hours and hours and came up with nothing. I have an 88 comanche, automatic and the truck dies when you step on the gas when it warms up. You have to give it lots of gas like you're trying to burn out. I just bought the truck a couple weeks ago and it appears to have new cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs. The po did replace the exhaust manifold gasket but must not have gotten it tight enough as it does have a pretty bad exhaust leak. Could the exhaust leak be causing the problem? The truck drives great down the road, no sputtering or anything and seems to idle pretty well. It is only on takeoff. Any help is much appreciated.
