Loose or broken?

Still noisy 2wd

So after pulling the cover everything looks good. Just gear lube and no shrapnel. Guess it was time for lube change anyway.

Unfortunately I think thats a possiblity. Who has cheap diff cover gaskets?

I wish it was a rock in the tire. I pulled the driveline out and balanced it (I build them for a living) The thing was wildly out of balance but u-joints OK. I was suprised these things use tiny 1310 joints. Anyway still make the noise, its also load related going uphill its light but downhill it really knocks

New member with a 90' MJ 2 wheel drive 2.5 that is making what I thought was a driveline noise (checked the u-joints, their OK). Anybody have any ideas? Its speed related and doesn't matter if the clutch is in or out, kind of a click, click..... Thanks
