ok thanks... is the asd relay one of the four on the passenger side cause i switched those around with each other and nothing changed....if not where is it located?

ok ill get a fuel pressure gauge morrow after work...what is normal pressure for 4.0s

bypassed fuel pump ballast resistor still nothing any other ideas

is that the ceramic thing on the drivers side of engine compartment and how would u test it

OK so last week i was hooking up my amplifier in my 1989 pioneer 2 wd 4.0 five speed and in my haste to hear my subs i didnt take the fuse out of my power wire well i grounded it out on my amp...fried the amp and my something in my truck...it will start and run for 1 to 2 seconds and dies i have fuel to the fuel rail so my pump seems to be working....it will run fine on carb cleaner so its not anything with iginition....i have a extra computer so i put that in there and still no change....Is there a ecm fuse on the 4.0 or does anyone have any ideas on what could be goin on...please help!

good old mjs it was -33 here in iowa there were 7 vehicles in my apt complex lot and only two of them started my 89 pioneer and my neighbors 97 xj....go jeep!

thanks for the info guys...besides another comanche what models and years of jeeps would be donors for all the parts i need for the swap? also will the d30 hold up with 33s...it will be a daily driver and i don't get to crazy offroad mostly some dirt roads and snow covered fields when I'm hunting?

hey guys just bought my mj two weeks ago 89 pioneer 4.0 2wd 144000 miles. I bought it for $900 i really liked it but then got to lookin at this site and realized how quickly it could be turned in to a offroading machine...i was wondering any info on 4wd conversions i know there are many post about it but I'm new to the jeep world so all info is helpful. Also i want to put a lift on it how tall would i have to go to fit 33 10.5s or maybe 12.5s with no rubbing.
