  1. SeaBee is the way to go. I ran 31's with a 2" budget boost with no problems. And good luck with SWCC.
  2. Problem solved. There is a problem with the fuel pump relay housing. Ran a jump wire from the pos terminal to the switched wire on the relay and she started right up. $800 bucks in unnecessary parts later the Comanche is back in business. All I needed was $10 bucks in 12 gauge primary wire and a toggle switch and I would have been mobile two months ago.
  3. Depending on your rate you will be spending the first 6 months in the training pipeline. I would and did wait till after boot camp to do anything. You will have some money in your pocket to do it right as well as the base auto hobby shop. The hobby shop has bays, tools and staff to help you with about everything you can think of.
  4. Forgot to mention I replaced all 4 relays in the relay center as well as cleaned all connections with quick dry electrical cleaner. Should I still check anyway? I also had run a jump wire from the battery to the fuel pump wiring. When I put the wire to the first terminal the pump runs. At the second terminal there is nothing and the third Is the ground so I didn't put the jump wire to it.
  5. 88 Comanche Pioneer 4.0 Auto 130000 miles. Stuck in South Dakota with no vehicle. So far I have replaced; Ignition switch Fuel pump ballast Fuel filter Spark plugs Spark plug wires Dist Cap Rotor Ignition Coil Crankshaft position sensor The truck still turns over and runs while the key is in the start position but as I release the key to the run position it dies out. I have to drive back to Colorado in a week and am needing to get this truck running again so I can at-least make it home. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
  6. I currently have an 87, Automatic, 2WD Comanche, I purchased a front axle and transfercase from a 91 4WD Cherokee. My question is will the transfer case work with my transmission or will i have to get a transmission out of a 4WD to make the transmission work, the Cherokee that I got the xfer case from was an automatic with an AWD4 tranny. Any information would help.
  7. Hello all. I am having some problems with my truck and was needing some help. I am leaking fuel from somewhere and not sure how to fix it. i have had the engine running and looked and saw nothing dripping, spraying or leaking from inside the wngin compartment. I am thinking it is something to do with the fuel line form the tank to the engine. Anyone know the specifications on the fuel line for an 87 Base model?
