  1. its a small block 305. The top end is getting redone. The cylinders and the valves were carbonized so they needed a good cleaning and its in that proccess. i have to buy a gasket kit and the valves need to be reseated. I have all of the parts Two- 4 barrel carbs One- 2 barrel carb Two- sets of iron heads Stock and Aftermarket exaust headers- A brand new muffler- And THE CHERRY BOMB off my old jeep!!!! And a bunch of different valve sets. I'm wishing the weather was a little better b.c its not in the garage. it is were it sits and in lawrenceville p.a its quite chilly but i will update my process !!! Thanks for the picture posting thread Pete!!
  2. Like i said before its a nice color but I'm thinking it would look better as a flat black. or something of the sort the cab corners are rotted and the rims in the back didnt come with it some I'm down to the steelies!!! id appreciate it more if it had the scotts dale trim ( chrome level trim) itd look alot nice
  3. Yea. I talked to the guy about it and it had the 4.3. before and it does in fact have the 305 carburated. Its quite the nifty little project. itd be better standard
  4. I wasnt really able to find an affordable comanche .... -_-. But i did manage to find a 1986 chevrolet 1500. Its a single cab short bed automatic 2 wheel drive with a 305. It origanaly it had the vortec. So its still left with the 3;0;8 gears. Wooo.... A whopping 5 or 6 miles per galloon... Only 98xxx miles on the body and frame. Not to sure about the engine...its kind of just...well there... Its in the proccess of getting the hole top half redone. But i hve some pretty good ideas for what i want to do to it. I think it would look good left as a rat rod. I want it flat black with pin stripes of the blue. And I'm not sure why but i think it would look good with the chrysler lebaron hood vents. But let me know what you guys think. and if you have any ideas i apreciate it Image Not Found Image Not Found mr.bigbock I'm not sure how to get the pics on so i guess u can just put that in the internet thing?
  5. Ok OK i went out and put the fender flares up to the ford and looked at it. And pondered... Its going to need alot of shaving. And also the the real quarters of the ford are very close to the door so I'm not going to be use the full fender flare i will have to cut that. Also i will neend to make a new skid plate for mine are rotted out. "Will keep updates on progess. mr.bigbock
  6. Allright i need some help from some fellow jeepers. here's the story. I like jeeps. End of story but lol out of all seriousness now I'm thinking of perchasing a jeep cherokee i think its an 87 and it has the v6 automatic and its four wheel drive. Its exactly what i need. But the bad the thing about it is it has over 289xxx miles and its about gut less. Like literally it has no power. But yet it does not over heat. And nothing leaks. So basically is it just getting old??? Plus it needs a tune up. And i doesnt do much good with a huge mother puppin brush guard that tips the jeep forward lol. Id appreciate every response
  7. I have extra comanche fender flares. And i always thought that they were nifty looking. And thats what i love in the jeeps. But recently i got a 1992 Ford Explorer 4 door. And the edges of the fenders and quaters around all of the wheel wheels are rotted. So what i plan on doing is shaving all fenders and quauter wells. And i just wanted to know if the comanche plates would fasten to that if i did it the right way. And if any one has ever done this with the comanche fenders on any other vehicle? thanx
