  1. I'll have to get a p/s line off a 4-banger so I can mount that sensor later on. I have my new coil mounted, but I still have a few stray wires on my wiring harness, so I'm wondering if any wires attach to the coil mounting bracket. I know on my '93 4.0 it has 2 wires, but I don't know if the 2.5 does the same thing, and I only have one stray wire that looks like it would mount, so not sure.
  2. Speaking of mounted things, what is that sensor that mounts into the power steering line on 2.5L engines? I thought it was a knock sensor but then saw it mounted into a fitting on the power steering line in a junkyard xj.
  3. I upgraded the wiring harness, intake manifold, throttle body, distributor, cap & rotor, all sensors, installed power steering, put in a '93 water pump, alternator, A/C (along with all the brackets), harmonic balancer, '93 coolant bottle & windshield washer fluid bottle, etc. etc. I've converted everything over during the last month. Hasn't been worth it, but there's less work to go on and finish it than it would be to go back. I found a junkyard '93 with the 2.5L and grabbed the bracket & coil, so that part is done.
  4. Anybody have a picture of a '91+ 2.5L coil and where it mounts? I'm upgrading my '88 that mounted in a different spot.
  5. Tried them too, as well as AutoZone, no luck yet. I may have to just find a local place that can shorten my existing lines and put the proper end on them, or find a tool so I can do it myself.
  6. Anybody have a source for the lower fuel lines? I'm converting my '88 2.5L TBI to MPI. I have the short lines that connect to the fuel rail, but they don't match up with the lower lines leftover from my TBI setup. I've tried the dealer (no longer available), quadratec, realmopar.com, Napa etc. The part #'s from the FSM are 5200 6910 for the fuel return line, and 5300 2192 for the fuel supply line. I found the return line for $30 shipped, but can't find the fuel supply line available anywhere, and I have yet to see any comanches in the junkyards I go to either. Anybody have another source where I can order jeep parts by the oem part #? By the way, I also checked car-part.com but didn't see fuel lines listed as one of their options, and would be slightly hesitant to buy a used one that way and trust that the person taking it off took good care of it while removing it and packaging it.
  7. I had front brakes before the switch, but the Jeep sat with dry lines for a few weeks while I was doing other stuff before I put the fluid back in. I believe the fluid is coming up through the sensor where the wire connects, not around the threads. Since neither front brake will pull fluid, I suppose the best place to start would be to remove the line from the front reservoir part of the m/c to the prop valve and make sure it's not clogged....unless there's something I'm not thinking of.
  8. I recently switched over to an XJ proportioning valve and removed the height-sensing valve from the rear. I now only have one line running all the way back to the rear wheels, and I can bleed the rears just fine and it appears to be working correctly in the rear. I went to bleed the fronts though, and could not get any fluid at all to come out of either side. Then I noticed it was leaking fluid from the prop valve, coming out the top of the sensor where the wire connects. I removed the sensor and put in a different one with the same results. There is no o-ring or anything in where the sensor goes, is there supposed to be? Any ideas? By the way, I'm pretty sure all the lines are connected correctly, it's kind of hard to connect them in the wrong place (referring to the master cylinder to prop valve lines, and the front hard brake lines to the prop valve).
  9. Don't you need the mj bucket brackets if you're going to use XJ buckets?
