  1. this the 1980 scout that i bought out of florida with 56,000 original miles on it. with the 3.2l nissan turbo diesel that I'm going to put in my comanche.
  2. i decided to bob the bed and take the eight inches out of the frame behind the rear spring hanger.
  3. this is after i got the rotten bedsides of and most of the other panels off to see what was left.
  4. this is my comanche when i first brought her home. it has 88,000 miles and everything seemed to work ok on the ride home, but the body is definately a little rough.

  10. is there any way to use a dana 18 or 20 in my 88 comanche. i have dana 60 axles and i want to be able to have front and rear wheel drive seperately. i know that the dana 300 is the best but the only thing i can find is 18 and 20's.

  12. ok i found a dana 300 to use for my transfercase, now i need to know what is the strongest way to go for my doubler or reduction case

  14. is it possible to run dual transfercases. i got dana 60's from a 70's f250 and i'm going to e running 38inch TSL's. but i still want to be able to go down the highway.

  18. i have dana 44s from a 69 wagonner to put under my comanche but i want to convert them to disc brakes. what is the best way to do this.

  20. would it be possible to do a body lift on a comanche. even if i had to cut the cab off the sub frame and box in new metal how hard would it really be. i'm still lookin for a new or used bed or even just the sides. i'm one hour east of pittsburgh and willing to travel to pick one up for the right price. i need a 7 footer.
  21. it doesnt matter what position your transfer case is in everything in your transmission turns if the rear wheels turn. either put it on a trailer or disconnect the drive shaft, even leaving it and wiring it up tight so the fluid won't leak will work. but going that great a distance will definatley ruin something, especially if you plan on goin over 30mph.
  22. I'm an hour east of pittsburgh. iwould be willing to go to ny for a bed. i need a long bed. how much would you want for the bed
  23. I'm looking at an 88 comanche but the bedsides are rotten right through. where can i find a used bed or at least new replacement bedsides.
