  6. hi pete i'm using the same ford dana 44 front end is you and i was just curious how you mounted your coils to the ford axle or if you have a post of your build.
  7. well its been 6 months since i've been able to get back to my project. but i just got my conversion kit to mount the np231 to the t19 and the box for rocks kit for the np231 dana 300 doubler. plus i got my tires mounted on my wheels i powdercoated copper.

  9. hey pete did you talk to your sticker guy or do you know how to get a hold of brent?? and talk to him about it?
  10. hey pete,, I'm taking a business class now and i have to wear a neck tie everyday. do you know of anyone that we could get to put the club logo on a neck tie and sell.
  11. i had to cut the hole in the firewall just to get the engine to fit. i move the axle ahead 1 1/2 inches to clear the oil pan.
  12. the tranny mount is done. i bought 2 1/2 inch johnny joints to make extended radius arms.
  13. no just a old and beat up kodak digital camera.
  14. the frame plating is done. i have pics of the load leveler that i made. the engine mounts from the nissan were cut down to fit between the mj frame rails, and i made my own mounts on the truck out of 1/4 inch plate. i started my tranny mount with 1/4 inch plate where the old tranny mount bolted on and 2x2 .120 box tubing for the crossmember. the down tube for my turbo won't fit around my newly plated frame and i didnt want to cut it so i need to make a new plate to go in place of the down tube and weld mandrel bent tubing to it clocked at the angle i need.
  15. plateing the front frame stubs to handle the diesel this is the load leveler i borrowed from another shop. when i borrowed it, it was broken so i fixed it and a few days later they came and took it back so i decided to make my own. ill have pics of it this weekend. the ford nine inch found a new and better home
  16. cut 3 more inches out of the back of the bed. after fitting the engine in and out a few times, i decided to cut out the fire wall to get the engine to set back where it should be and the tranny shifter fell right in where the stock shifter would be and i startedd cutting off all the brackets for the suspension to plate the frame with 1/8 inch plate.
  17. pulled the transfercase, the tranny, disconnected the wiring. pulled of the intake and exhaust manifold and cleaned it up for paint.
  18. now i got the dash board and heater system out and started welding in the pads on the floor for the roll cage.
  19. i would like a zippered hoody but i would need at least a 2xl
  20. well today we got the diesel fired up let it run for a while then pulled it out of the scout!! Image Not Found
  21. now out with the gas job and in with the oil burner but first the engine bay needs to be sand blasted and painted
  22. i decided that i want a cowl induction hood, so time to cut up the factory hood and see what i can come up with. i started by cutting 2 inches in from the side body line in the hood and just used a broom handle and and pulled it to the front evenly on both sides to get the look i want.
  23. the scout frame is rotten beyond repair and the body is in a lot worse shape then it looks in the pictures. it came out of florida right off the coast, so the salt air got to it pretty bad. but everything that is salvagable is up for sale. ie...the axles, fiberglass top, the seats aren't too bad. and other parts that anyone needs just let me know.
  24. then i had brand new sheet metal bent to make new bed sides at a local metal shop. then i took a trip home to vermont and a buddy was junking a 78 ford bronco and told me i could have it for hauling it out of his yard. so i thought i would keep the axles for this project, i keptthe radius arms too. so the wife and i drove back to pennsylvania from vermont with a ford nine inch a dana 44 and the radius arms in the back of her jeep liberty.
  25. I'm trying to find articles or anyone that has extended the seventies ford radius arms. I'm using the ford dana 44 out a fullsize bronco but i would like to extend the radius arms another 10 - 16 inches, and use a heim joint.
