  1. i went and looked over the truck myself last night.. it has been sitting for 6 years after the slave went out on it.. he wrecked the trans cause when the slave went out he decided to slam it into gear and he thinks he bent some forks.. he is a retired fire fighter and seems to be a good guy. he has a lot of money invested into it and i actually got him down to $200.. the floors are solid along with the frame it has. 112K on the body, it is starting to get thin on the passenger rear wheel well. and he does have a title i saw it. now for the bad.. he lost the keys. the driver side top hinge has rusted or off the body and since it sat so long out in the country it has made small friends. but if someone is looking for a good project. this would be it. i was tempted since i am on the lookout for a solid Comanche but to much work since i have 2 other projects. http://greenbay.craigslist.org/cto/1490808756.html
  2. well if the only difference is that i can drive on pavement with my 4wd engaged well then its not worth the swap.. i thought the 231 case was not locked in when it was in 4wd so i thought it was like a differential.. but if the 231 is locked in when it is in 4wd well then I'm just going to leave it alone
  3. i thought the 231 only had jsut the 2wd 4wd or 4lo... were the 242 has 2wd hi lock 4wd and lo lock? is that correct...
  4. sorry i meant 231 not 207.
  5. so i have the 231 t case and i was wondering if the 242 with the high loc and the low loc was worth swapping in and weather or not it would be a direct bolt in. would one from a xj bolt right into my mj. i know i wouldnt have the indicator light but what woudl i all need to put one in.. or woudl i have lights if i just got the screen for the cluster and then just put in the bulbs? thanks
  6. so i was sent here from another forum due to the lack of comanche people there... but i was asking about a lift cause i just got a 87 and i was hopeing to go five inches higher... someone said that i am better off making my own lift... i was just wondering what were all of the things i would need to get and from what and were i could get them..
