BuddyOverland
I've got everything done except pulling the steering column apart. The white plastic switch that goes in the column with the wires attached is what's keeping me from removing the column housing. Do I need to disconnect it all the way down to the instrument panel and unbolt it at the base? Is there an easier way to do this? Or, is this it? GosaGT1988
If your talking about the wiring harness that goes into the steering column, it should just seperate like any other wiring harness. It's right there above the gas/brake pedal. I have to do the same thing here in about a week when I get my paycheck. Somebody put a 1985 XJ steering column in my 1990 MJ. The wiring setup isn't even close to the same. Because they did this I'm having several lighting problems.
