thedave360
Well, Its come time to sell the old Comanche. I'm a bit sad to do it but it needs to be done. Might not show it, but I put a lot of work in it to get it running reasonably reliable. She's a 92 4.0 HO with working 4 wheel drive, automatic trans, long wheel base. It could use a paint job but no serious rust and the interior could use some love if I'm honest. Here's whats been done: JCR Front Bumper and custom rear bumper both powder coated CAT Yellow. Shackle tabs front and rear Hitch receivers front and rear 31in Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. Old but still decent tread. 4in Lift 3 core all aluminum radiator Aux fan override ON switch Entire motor (head and bottom end) was rebuilt by a local engine shop 4 years ago. This included replacing the cam shaft. I probably haven't put 10,000 miles on it since. Mostly some trails, traveling to and from trails and just running it every once in a while. When I had the engine rebuilt I also did the following: Replaced fuel tank and pump Replaced injectors (re manufactured) Replaced numerous sensors Replaced distributor and plug wires Upgraded mechanical fan to a late 90's TJ style Rebuilt rear drum brakes (all new hardware, resurfaced drums) Replaced front calipers (re manufactured) New front shocks The truck also comes with a couple extra spare items I've picked up at the local junkyard that I won't have use for: Electric AUX fan Full size spare tire ECU Tailgate (color doesn't match but its in good shape) Front bumper (it might not be in good shape, I have to check) Not from the jy, but I'm including it is a tow bar that would mount to the front bumper so you could flat tow the truck. Besides cosmetics, there are a few issues, which I haven't fixed because I consider them to be minor, maybe you disagree. There is a small leak in the all aluminum radiator. I just keep it topped off. The AC only blows through the defrost vents, but it does blow cold. The neutral safety switch has issues and it usually won't start with the transmission in Park. It will fire up in neutral though. I have found that this gets better the more the truck is used. Overall, the truck runs well. Extremely fun on the trails. I wish there were room for the wife and kids in it so we could go hit the trails and do some camping together. Check out the pics below. I'd like to get $4,000 for it.
