broythomas
How do you tighten the nuts on the lower ball joints? I can't tighten it much past hand tight since it rotates. Thanks.
CWLONGSHOT
Are/where you replacing them? What year? I ask because the early ones have an adjustable seat and you need to check that to be sure its tight and set properly. Later models its the same as any other tapered hole. If so take it back apart and be sure it is tight and DRY. Then reinstall while adding some upward pressure. CW
broythomas
it has an axle from a 1985 cherokee. I put in a 1 degree offset sleeve to fix my camber.
CWLONGSHOT
OK, this means you have the adj nuts in the lower ball joint hole. Be sure they are tight against one another. (Becareful not to change there position.) Then be sure there is no grease in the hole or on the tapered stud and you should be fine. CW
broythomas
Wow, I obviously haven't been sleeping (Drastic work schedule change). It needed lots of penetrating oil to loosen the nut like all 22 year old bolts and I didn't clean up after myself. Of course it slips in the sleeve with that much lubrication. Thanks for not making fun of me. Of course, you can always post a question here and noone ever makes fun of your question, which is why this is the best jeep site on the net. Always a great help here. Thanks, Brian
