tylergrant2011
Ok guys, I have a 1987 Jeep Comanche 4.0L inline 6 that will crank, start, and then die out seconds later. when i go and try to crank it again after that it won't budge as if the engine is locked up. if i give it 30 minutes or so it will crank, start and do the same process over and over again i have been trying to figure this one out for a month. i have replaced the battery, starter, alternator, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and button. I'm out of brains to figure this one out. help would be appreciated.
AeroNautical
Fuel ballast resistor? Located on the inner drivers side fender next to the air box, with 2 wires coming out of it. Made of ceramic. Try disconnecting those wires and jumping them together. However, the engine not even cranking after the first start up is weird...
tylergrant2011
I'm confused on this one its like it has compression built up when you try to start it again after it dies but if you wait 30 minutes or so it cranks over.
