armyofchuckness
So, I was bumping around the local Advance Auto and found this spiffy little console and the contours looked familiar. Here's what it's called if you're curious. MoblOrg Auto Cupholder. Less than $7 and made in 'Merica too. A little hacksaw... A little grind... A little extra support on the base... A Add some camouflage a'la black rattle can and some tapered head wood screws...(I'd recommend black screws, but I used what I had around.) Secure to your floor and boom. I haven't secured mine yet because I'm going to replace the flooring, but when I do, I'll probably just use some Command Strips or something. Even without any adhesive, it holds in place pretty well. Doesn't look too bad for a quick project.
AeroNautical
Brilliant, if I had a bench I'd take your idea. If you do bolt it into your floor, better make sure you don't want to move your seat forward again, haha
armyofchuckness
Thanks! Good call on the floor mounting. I think maybe if I just add some rubber to the base to provide some extra grip it should be fine. We used it tonight as is with two cups of coffee and it worked just fine from the weight of the wood and the tumblers. Success!
