wolfgraj
I have a '89 Comanche for sale near Appleton WI. I have been working on the truck for the past couple years and really hate to see it go. Especially since I have JUST finished it. Specs: '89 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Drive train mileage 70,000 Body mileage -~130,000 Drivetrain: Renix inline 6 AW4 Automatic Transmission NP231 Dana 30 Front Axle (non-Vacuum disconnect, out of '95 Cherokee with x297 u-joints) Dana 44 Rear Axle 4.88 gears -NEW Aussie Auto Locker In Front axle -NEW Aussie Auto Locker in Rear axle -NEW 33" x 12" Tires (with 600 miles on them) on 15" steel rims Spark Plugs -NEW Spark Plug Wires -NEW Distributor Cap -NEW Distributor Rotor -NEW Battery -(Cheap model but NEW) Converted cooling system Suspension/Steering: Front BDS 3.5" Lift coils -NEW JKS quick disconnect sway bar links -NEW Bilstein 5100 shocks Front/Rear -NEW Coil isolators -NEW Adjustable Sway bar with drop bracket -NEW Hell Creek Rear Leaf Packs -NEW Rough Country Long arm kit -NEW Tie Rods (Moog) -NEW Tie Rod Ends (Moog) -NEW Brakes: Front Calipers (not chinese) -NEW Front Pads (not chinese) -NEW Front Rotors (not chinese) -NEW WJ Master Cylinder WJ Brake Booster Adjustable Proportioning Valve for rear drums -NEW All new brake lines Interior: Bucket Seats Center Console Carpet removed Bedlined Full gauge cluster swap Exterior: Single Stage Black (4 heavy coats) -NEW Notes: The trucks exterior is HIGHLY custom. I have trimmed the wheel wells front/rear to accommodate at least 35" tires. I did extensive body-work to give a finished look and, more importantly, strength. The bottom 4" or so of the entire truck have been trimmed to give more clearance. The bottom of the doors have thick angle iron welded to them. The weak sheet metal rockers have been replaced with 2" x 5" box steel. The gas tank has been mounted on separate rails allowing you to remove the bed without dropping the gas tank. Gripes: There are a few items that I didn't have time to address: 1.) The hydraulic ratio of the WJ master cylinder with the stock Cherokee calipers gives a soft feeling to the brake pedal. I can assure you that the brakes are safe, bleed properly, and will stock the truck as fast as friction will let it. 2.) There is no front bumper. I was planning a custom bumper. The stocks mounts will allow you to bolt on a stock bumper if you choose. I will also include some steel to fabricate your own bumper. 3.) The rear bumper is not finished. I have a basic bumper made out of steel with recovery points and receiver but it is not painted and aesthetically finished. I will include some steel to finish. 4.) New transmission cooler lines are needed. I currently have the cooler bypassed. The truck has been driven ~10 miles like this. My intent was to purchase an aftermarket cooler. 5.) The speedometer cable needs to be replaced. 6.) To complete the gauge swap the temperature switch in the back of the block needs to be changed to a temperature sensor. 7.) The stock radio doesn't work. 8.) The tailgate I have for the truck has not been painted. 9.) The gas filler door has not been painted. I have to sell the truck tomorrow else it goes into storage for a long time. $2500 is a VERY aggressive price and I expect it to be gone.
