If your sending unit is reading slightly high or low it has a built-in adjustment range by setscrew which alters the float position with respect to the rheostat winding. I was able to dial mine in with this adjustor nicely.
12Eliminator Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 i was not aware, thanks for that info. my gauge reads 3/4 tank when full. after 5-7 gallons of gas (most i've used so far) it sit's down at 1/4 tank. so it seems very inconsistent on several fronts. i will look into adjusting this regardless.
flint54 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 The adjustment can resolve offset, but not inconsistency. Mine also used to read 3/4 full when tank was totally full, and I was able to resolve that easily.
