NEW guy build thread

Well I'm the new guy I guess, I look at the forum all the time but never post. My name is Adam and I'm from TEXAS :waving: I have built 2 other jeeps before this and I'm ready for something new and i love the comanche. I'm currently going to school to be a fireman and trying to build the jeep off my get by job. here are some pics of my previous jeeps

 

 

I'm going to go ahead a start a build thread although I have already put a lot into it. I searched for a good while before I found what i was looking for. Black, short bed, 4x4, I6 4.0 manuel with 120k miles!!! To get you caught up on everything since I bought it out of Florida and had it shipped back I have gotten a ax-15 rebuilt, 231 rebuilt and installed and sye, new master cylinder. The jeep came with a minor lift of somewhere around 2.5-3in. Also bought a set of rubi take offs and installed. so here is the picture when when i bought it and after all of the above was finished.

 

 

since these pics i have been through about 4 sets of wheels and tires (I'm weird i like to change it up....a lot). as of right now it sit with some mickey thompson classic locks minus the rings, picked these up for 75$ for all 4. has 32s as of right now. and fenders have been trimmed.

 

 

In the past week i have accumulated some goodies off craigslist and jeepforum and lsjc.org. found some adj rustys control arms with forged johnny joints upper and lower with only 1k miles on them for 200$, picked up a dana 44 from a cherokee with master install 300$, got a d30 with new 4.56, lockright and warn diffcover for 300$, 44 carrier with 4.56 gears and lockright for 200$, and i also got a good deal on some close to new set of 5 33in mud grapplers for 650$

 

 

this week i will be custom building some rock sliders and a rear bumper at my buddies shop, installing rustys arms, new steering box, tie rod ends, possibly comanche buckets, and sending the 44 off to the shop to have the gears set. plans in the next 2-3 weeks includes soa, new 5.5in re coils, track bar a drop bracket, drop pitman arm and logans offroad front bumper and winch if i can swing it. also have to finds the funds to purchase some 17in wheels for these 33s i picked up. :wrench:
