  1. So I picked up a Comanche for the girlfriend and it has gone from bad to worse. I'll give you a rundown and maybe a true genius master will know what to do. Turns out it had a bad head gasket. Replaced that, replaced the thermostat, had a bad water pump replaced that, still sputtering and now overheating, still pumping black smoke. Horrible gas mileage. Replaced the MAP, replaced the fuel pump(had visibly dirty gas but does not pump consistently when key is on) replaced the o2 sensor and now it won't even make it out the driveway. She's saying scrap yard. HELP! Only last idea I have is to buy a carb and put it on. Possible?
