  1. Eagle: Followed your directions and I apparently have a problem with the wire leading to the gauge, will have to pull the lower dash panel and see if I can locate the problem. Thanks for the information.
  2. Baffled, temperature gauge does not work, replaced sender in cyl head, no help. Needle stays at bottom, when I push the brake pedal, the needle pegs on the top end, friend told me to check the grounds. Cleaned the one in the left rear tail light, battery to block stud and the cyl head to firewall ground. Nothing helped, same problem.
  3. I guess my terminology was wrong but the problem is the same, replaced the Tem. Sending Unit in the head trying to correct a problem with the gauge in the dash, turn on key and gauge goes to top, then returns to bottom and stays there. Changing the sending unit did nothing, what could my problem be?
  4. 89 MJ 4.0 - dash temperature gauge goes to top when key is turned on, then it drops to the bottom and stays there, changed temp sender in head, no difference. What is my problem?
  5. Your pictures are great but I'm still a little in the dark as to how you proceeded, does the fuse block harness unplug inside the engine compartment or did you have to cut all the wires? Appreciate any information you can provide, mine is an 89 and it has leaked so much fluid that half the fuses are non-functional. Thanks, Keith
  6. To change the fuse block is there a large wiring connector inside the engine compartment that allows the block to be unbolted and removed from the firewall? Or is the entire wiring harness connected to the fuse block and the whole thing has to be replaced?
