Salvagedcircuit
My MJ was missing a headliner. I eventually found one and installed it. However it seems the center rear sags a bit and obstructs the rear glass about 1in. Is this normal? The headliner was not creased or cracked. The rear b-pillars are the only thing that hold in the headliner in the back. Is there some bracket I'm missing? In the photos below I'm holding up the center with my hand in a before / after. eaglescout526
Nope. Nothin holds up the back at all. Front is held by the visors and the clips, the pillars basically hold it up. Maybe the headliner is weak in the center?
JZLAJeep
When we took ours out to recover, it looked like there was velcro type material near the back edge. I wonder if something like that would help without taking the risk of sending some self tappers through the roof.

Salvagedcircuit
That's not a bad idea! I ended up velcro-ing the front dash carpet the other day and it came out excellent. I don't see why it would not work there.
pizzaman09
Yep, there is Velcro. I put a new piece on for freshness on mine. FYI, I'd you do any butyl mat on the roof, avoid the top center as it will space down the headliner making it more challenging to fit. As a result of covering my entire roof in Killmat, the headliner now sits forward farther than it should.

Course I only covered the middle sheet metal section and not the cross bars that’s support the roof and other structural parts. But my headliner has no fitment issue.
