UpstateMJ
Wanted to keep my under hood temps down in this horrible South Carolina heat we have been having. Picked this brand new hood louver up off market place for cheap. Already running 5-10 degrees cooler. My trans tunnel still getting so hot I could cook an egg on it though. Even with carpet and kil-mat. Any suggestions?
ghetdjc320
Are you running a catalytic converter? If so, see if it still has a heat shield intact. If it’s missing, get a heat shield for it.
zomeizter
These do help with the heat, got vents on the XJ but I started having issues with the TPS failing often. Found out the rain was soaking the sensors and destroying them, so I homebrewed a rain cover on the inside/underside of the vent and the problem went away. This may not apply to your setup, but if it does...
