Intermittent parasitic drain

Recommended Posts

Spent a lot of time last month "fixing" a parasitic drain.  Thought I had it fixed, as I saw no (0) amp draw from battery over several weeks (tested several times).  Went away for a week and came home to a completely dead battery.  Nothing was left on, and nothing else has been messed with since the fix attempt.

Have not yet started the fuse pulling sequence again, as I'm waiting on the battery to charge (and hoping it's not dead, as I've replaced the battery 3x this past year already).

Anyone see history of ignition switch or something like that causing issues like this?  Cab lights and door switches have been replaced and all work properly. Recent "fix" was changing out radio and running a new dedicated 12v constant wire to fuse panel.

One time I had an issue with a parasitic drain, it turned out to be the glove box light staying on when the glove box door was shut.

SF, I did two tours at Quantico.

SF, and thanks... glovebox was checked early on (and switch was loose).  I'm 15 minutes from Quantico... still go into Q-town for my monthly haircut!
